randomtues: Well, they say in roller derby it is not *if* you get hurt but *when* - last night in my first derby game I took a nasty fall and fractured my Fibula, broke that tiny little bit on the bottom of my tibia, tore the ligament in between and as a result the ankle was displaced. It was quite the night of firsts for me - broken bone, surgery, derby game (or 10 minutes of one).  Oh well, such is life - at least I will get a good upper body work out from the crutches and they gave me some hefty pain killers. Get someone to sign your cast for me.
